How a Marathon ranked boost runs

1. 01Rank and targetSix ranks, Bronze to Pinnacle, three tiers in each. Choose where you stand and where you want to finish.
2. 02Piloted or crewedPiloted, the runner signs in from your region. In your crew, they join your fireteam and you deploy together.
3. 03Runs that extractA ranked run only pays when the crew gets out alive. Each run is logged with the zone and the points it moved.
4. 04Vault left aloneThe order ends at your target rank; what you had stored before stays exactly where it was.

Running in your crew adds 48%, because the runner's time follows your schedule. Cryo Archive runs and faction ranks are quoted by hand.

Ranks, Holotags and why extraction matters

Ranked Marathon ties its divisions to Holotag tiers, and you can only buy a Holotag up to the division you hold. That makes each rank worth more than a badge. It also means a crew that dies with full bags gains nothing, so the runner's job is to read the zone and get out, not to chase every fight.

Is Marathon boosting safe?

Bungie's terms don't allow account sharing, so a piloted order carries some risk. Running in your crew keeps you on your own account. Piloted runners sign in from your region and play every run by hand.

Who runs with you

Every order goes to a runner who finishes each season in Pinnacle, and each one has passed an ID check before joining. They extract with your loot and never touch what sits in your vault.

Marathon is new enough that the 3 sites we checked on 21 October 2026 still disagreed widely, most of all at Diamond and Pinnacle. We sit just under the dearest for every tier.
